Farges is one of the 12 villages of the Saint-Nectaire's commune. In Farges there are 20 inhabitants but since 1980 they welcomed tourists of all over the world.
First of all, "Bellonte" is a farmer's family since 1663. And they made farmer saint-nectaire cheeses since 8 generations.
In the farm the visitors experiences the life of a real farm. Here, we are producing the famous saint-nectaire cheese. Every day tourists are invited to enjoy the cow milking and the cheese manufacturing.
Near the farm, 20 years ago, Alphonse Bellonte discovered the mysteries of four caves… They were dug in medieval times and were old troglodyte dwellings. The caves are now a modern museum "the Mystères de Farges" is a one hour tour which makes you travel back through centuries. In our 4 caves you will experience the history of these medieval troglodyte dwellings thanks to an unforgettable "son et lumière show". Then, you'll see the Viginet's treasure : A collection of 100 years-old 3D photographs. In the maturing cellar, you 'll taste the famous saint-nectaire cheese.
